Musical journey of life’s ups and downs through song!

On Saturday, February 4th, the Prestige Mountain Resort will be transformed into a raucous cabaret hall! The Rossland Council for Arts and Culture (RCAC) is thrilled to present celebrated vocalist and comedic performance artist, Bridget Ryan, with her witty, raw cabaret: Here’s to the Ladies Who Laugh. It’s part musical theatre, part stand-up comedy, and 100% entertaining.

Accompanied by pianist Jen McMillan, Bridget Ryan’s meticulously chosen musical and comedic vignettes (featuring hits of the 80’s, songs from musical comedies, ABBA, and classics from the world of Jazz) take us on a musical journey of life’s ups and downs through song. It’s inspirational, it’s identifiable, and it’s funny. Song mash-ups, song-a-logues and good ol’ fashioned stand-up will have audiences of all ages rolling in the aisles!

“[Bridget is] a firecracker of a performer; Bridget’s cabaret brims with dazzling versatility,” hails the Edmonton Journal. “It’s more than her powerful voice and onstage charisma. Ryan has a real knack for storytelling,”
When she is not performing on stage, Bridget is Co-host of Dinner Television on CITY TV in Edmonton. She is the recipient of two Sterling Awards for Theatre Excellence, and for the past six years has been voted ‘Favourite Personality’ in Vue Weekly. Bridget was also awarded Edmonton’s Consumer Choice ‘Woman of the Year’ in 2011. “Bridget Ryan is the one to watch – she is simply out of the ordinary!” (Next Magazine, NYC.)
