The Rossland Council for Arts and Culture would like to extend their gratitude to the community of Rossland for supporting the five events that took place over the weekend of October 13th at the Miners Hall, to celebrate the re-opening of the newly renovated attic space, as well as Canada’s 150th birthday.
“When we planned this weekend to celebrate the completed renovations, we were not sure how the community would react to so many events in one weekend, and if we could count on a good turnout,” says Theshini Naicker, President of the RCAC.
“We were blown away by the support, from the art exhibition reception and “Canada Show” on Friday, to the community dance on Saturday, to the Purple Pirate children’s entertainer, and closing out the weekend with the poetry and song writing showcase Sunday evening, every event had a great crowd and great energy.”
“We especially want to thank all the volunteers and new members who expressed interest in becoming involved with the RCAC in the future. It takes work to bring these kinds of performances to Rossland, and we are very grateful for the community support.”
